The Group of Friends for Sustainable Energy launched the Tracking SDG7: The Energy Progress Report on 4 June at United Nations in New York.

The new Tracking SDG 7: The Energy Progress Report is released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the World Bank, and the World Health Organization (WHO). The report provides the most comprehensive look of the world’s significant progress towards global energy targets -the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7; access to electricity, clean cooking, renewable energy and energy efficiency, prior to the start of the COVID-19 crisis.
