Representatives from the UN Inter-Agency Cluster on Trade and Productive Capacity (UN ESCAP, UNDP, UNCTAD, UNIDO and ITC) were in Myanmar last week as part of the ESCAP, EBAC and UMFCCI hosted, Myanmar Business and Development Week. During the week they took the opportunity to meet with interested UNCT members and held a briefing on the status of the Inter-Agency Cluster, to get perspectives on the suggested work and to discuss the expectations to coordinate between UN entities and with other business instruments being set-up in Myanmar.

The Cluster also presented its “proposal for interagency assistance in the area of trade and related issues” to donors and other interested parties in the margins of the conference on Wednesday 25 September at UMFCCI. For follow-up information please email: ko.ko.latt@undp.org
