Regional Workshop on Least developed countries and leveraging trade as a means of implementation for the 2030 Agenda
The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Government of Bhutan, are organizing a regional workshop on “Least developed countries and leveraging trade as a means of implementation for the 2030 Agenda” in Thimphu, Bhutan during 2-4 August 2017
The objectives of the workshop are to a) identify relevant and feasible policy options that can help address the current challenges in the global and regional trade environment; b) discuss future capacity development needs for putting in place relevant policy responses; and c) review the state of data availability with respect to the trade related targets and indicators. The target participants will be government officials from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal and Timor Leste.
