Philippines Training of Trainers on Digital Local Government

Recognizing the tremendous impact of digital technologies in improving local governance and development, APCICT has been strengthening its partnerships with local governments and stakeholders to provide ICT capacity building support to local government officials. In line with this effort, APCICT will conduct a Training of Trainers (TOT) on Digital Local Government in Manila, Philippines on 24-26 September 2019. The TOT is being organized in collaboration with the De La Salle University – Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance (DLSU-JMRIG) and the Local Governance Training and Research Institutes – Philippine Network (LoGoTRI-PhilNet).

The TOT aims to strengthen the capacities of local trainers to deliver training on digital development, social media and data-driven governance for local government officials. It will bring together local resource persons from university-based training providers on local governance in the country and will also provide a platform for the exchange of experiences on effective capacity building support for local governments.
