2nd ASEAN workshop on ‘Development of mechanisms for acquisition and utilization of space-based information during emergency response’

The 2nd ASEAN workshop worked with ASEAN countries to build on the outcomes of the 1st ASEAN workshop on ‘Development of mechanisms for acquisition and utilization of space-based information during emergency response’ which was co-organised by AHA Centre, UN-SPIDER, LAPAN, and ESCAP in Yogyakarta on 15-16 April 2014. The meeting advocates the mechanisms and standard operating procedures for utilization of space-based information during emergency response, with a view to developing such a mechanism further.
