UN calls for photographs of the Northeast Asian region
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific: East and North-East Asia Office (UN ESCAP-ENEA) is looking for photographs that capture the economic, social and environmental issues facing the Northeast Asian region.
The call for visual contributions aims to find powerful images that can help convey ENEA’s objectives, as well as inspire action and help raise awareness of the issues affecting the region.
“As we continue to improve development cooperation in Northeast Asia, we hope to receive outstanding images that will help us reach out to more people and communities and inspire them to remain committed to the important role that multilateralism can play in promoting UN’s core values,” said Kilaparti Ramakrishna, Director of ENEA Office.
The submission period runs from 8 January 2014 through 28 February 2014. Contributors from any country, both amateur and professional, are highly encouraged to submit up to three images electronically.
Photographs will be used for a range of publicity materials and a selection will be posted in a digital gallery on ENEA’s website and shared via social media. Some might also be shared globally through the United Nations network. Full credit for the contribution will be provided in all forms of publication.
